Looks like you left out the most notable speaker of all. Thanks for representing and serving within Sovereign Grace Mike!
RACIAL RECONCILIATION & MISSION – MIKE SEAVER
In a world that divides and in a nation that reveals racial tensions with each news cycle, how should the church respond? How does a Christian engage such a difficult and sensitive issue? We must learn to take the multiethnic gospel into our multiethnic culture and plant multiethnic churches.
Mike serves as Lead Pastor at Sovereign Grace Church of the Low Country, near Charleston, SC. He is also part of the 1Charleston leadership, a multi-ethnic, interdenominational, and Christ-centered platform that empowers churches to embrace the multi-ethnic Gospel in deep and practical ways.
I had a wide open door to share the Gospel with our neighbor, Donna, who has come to church a few times. We were at an event at our apartment complex and she said to me, “Sometimes I don’t even know if I am really a Christian or not, because I don’t have a relationship with God the way some people talk about, and I have some family members I can’t forgive.” I explained the gospel to her, and how that enables us to be able to forgive, and prayed for her and some other things she was struggling with. She seemed touched by the prayer, but then said some comments that showed she really doesn’t see yet. I know that is a work only God can do. He is clearly working in her, so continue to pray for her and for us to be faithful!
My brother has some boxes that he said you are welcome to use. Jim Hill said that he can pick them up on his way to Gloria’s in the morning. Thank you, Jim!
Ladson group checks in except Jameson’s. Kyle’s number isn’t on the city and we haven’t heard back from Jenna-Ley yet
I hope you guys are staying dry in your home. I have a friend who already had 3 in of water in every room of her house by 10p last night. Definitely praying for all those effected…I’m also hoping to provide them with a warm meal and a dry place here at my house if she can get out of her neighborhood.
Thanks for posting and keeping us updated!
CHANGE - sorry, but communion will not be served tonight at the Mt. Moriah church worship time after all.
word up Brother Blanchard.
We glorify God as we TREASURE, APPLY and PROCLAIM the gospel of Jesus Christ…who gave His life on a cross for all our sins, so that we can have a loving relationship with God forever!
